Atlas design system project

Atlas A design system for Atlas applications

Many MIT applications sit under the Atlas brand. This design system creates a consistent cross-platform foundation for that product family, informed by established Material Design and Apple Human Interface patterns.

Role
UX/UI Designer
Responsibilities
  • Design-system research
  • Reusable components and patterns
  • Cross-platform visual consistency
  • Interface design and documentation

A FRAMEWORK, NOT A FIXED SOLUTION

The goal was consistency without forcing every product into the same solution. I designed flexible foundations—buttons, profiles, tables, and cards—with variants, states, and responsive behaviour that designers could combine around the needs of each MIT service.

I worked closely with developers to translate these components into reusable code across platforms. Documenting behaviour, constraints, and edge cases kept design and implementation aligned while leaving teams room to create within the wider MIT framework.
